In the news: Send-off ceremony for MEXT scholarship recipient

Deputy Chief of Mission/Counsellor at the Embassy of Japan in Brunei Darussalam Abe Hiroshi hosted a send-off ceremony for Mohammad Zaim bin Abu Bakar at a Japanese restaurant in Bandar Seri Begawan yesterday.

Mohammad Zaim will go to Japan for the 2020 Japanese Government (MEXT) scholarship under the Young Leaders’ Programme (YLP) Student (School of Government) to study Public Administration/Public Policy at the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS).

The fully funded scholarship for a Master’s Degree in Public Administration/Public Policy aimed at officials with considerable work experience in government and public administration.

Mohammad Zaim is expected to play active roles as a future leader for the development and prosperity of Brunei and expand the Brunei-Japan friendship.
