JASSO, Japan Student Service Organization (based in Japan), put a comment on our contact details page, here, inviting us to submit an article introducing our association for an upcoming newsletter to be published by them. I’ve already mentioned this to Dr. Chin and also emailed back to JASSO’s Mr. Koizumi to say we’ve received his invitation. I’ll keep you guys and gals updated regarding this matter.

Farewell Mr. Sato and Welcome Mr. Ichioka

Today we had a gathering to bid farewell to Mr. Sato, who is the Japanese Embassy officer in charge of liaising with local organisations, BAJA included, towards the betterment of Brunei-Japan relations. Mr. Sato just finished his two-year stint here in Brunei and is transferring to the Japan Embassy in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Taking over Mr. Sato’s post here in Brunei is Mr. Ichioka. He was present also at our gathering this afternoon at Aneka Rasa, Kiulap. I’m sure we’ll get to know Mr. Ichioka better in the next two years. For now, sayonara Mr. Sato.
