Japanese Language and Culture Week 2016 was held on the 18th, 19th and 20th March 2016 at Times Square Mall. The opening ceremony was launched by the Minister of Youth, Culture and Sports, Brunei.
The Brunei Association of Japan Alumni (BAJA) was one of the co-organizer and had shared a booth with IBTE/CET. Among other booth present were the Embassy of Japan, JENESYS-MYCS program, UBD-BJFA Chapters, SSYEAP, Misato and Shinobu restaurants and more.
BAJA conducted two Japanese Government scholarship sharing sessions on the 19th and 20th March during the event. BAJA members Ms. Adeline Pang, Mr. Joshua Lim and Ms. Rabiatul Abu Bakar shared their experience studying in Japan. Meanwhile, participants of the National Institution for Youth Education (NIYE) Junior Program and Toshiba Youth Camp Asia Program 2015, both programs coordinated locally by BAJA, also shared their experience joining the exchange program in Japan.
BAJA booth displayed information regarding Japanese Government scholarship programs, the activities done by BAJA for the past 12 months and experience shared by current scholarship students. BAJA members also help to provide advice to those who were are interested to apply for the scholarship.
